First of all great race to all of you! It is always nice to see so many competitors racing at one time and place. For those of you who haven’t heard yet, I am planning two big events in Wisconsin. Here are the details:
Sunday, April 24th, 8:00am
Petrifying Spring Park, Kenosha, WI (2k Loop) – certification WI15020DM – http://www.usatf.org/events/courses/maps/showMap.asp?courseID=WI15020DM
Race distances – 3k, 5k, 10k, 15k, 20k
Registration will be $10, and only available day of, starting at 7am. I will be at least one table available for aide, and at least one volunteer to help. I will have water and Gatorade. There will be at least seven judges, with at least one being Master and at least four will be National/Master. This will allow for anyone Olympic Trials qualifying to count. If there are any questions, just ask.
USATF One Hour Racewalk Championship – Saturday, August 13th, 7:00pm & 8:30pm
South Milwaukee High School, South Milwaukee, WI
Women – 7pm, Men – 8:30pm
There is also going to be an open One Mile Racewalk (5:30pm) for judges, parents, coaches, etc. Other events during the meet include a Pole Vault, USATF Wisconsin One Mile Track Championship, and Elite 5000m (held between the One Hour walks).
There will be a water table during the event, championship awards for the top-3 in all age groups (juniors, open, and masters), and prize money for the top-3 men & women.
Online Registration for the walks –> https://www.usatf.org/Products—Services/Event-Registration-Form.aspx?e=108266
This event is a great opportunity to race under the lights, in a championship atmosphere!
If you have any questions, just ask.
If interested in judging or helping out in any way, just let me know. Hope to see everyone at one or both events!
