Wednesday Picnic

As a reminder, Wednesday will be our first picnic of the summer. Come one, come all! You aren’t required to do the workout, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get in a few miles. Bring something to share. Also bring good conversation and laughs. See you at Abendschein Park, Oak Creek, around 6:30pm.

Midwest Masters Track Meet – Sunday, 6/26

Sorry for the delay getting this out to everyone. I always forget there is a late fee, and forgot to check. Maybe if you send it out ASAP on Monday, you could play dumb.

On Sunday, June 26th, there will be a 5000m Racewalk as a part of the Midwest Masters Track Meet, in Waukesha, WI. The race will be at 8:45am. As of right now, I will be judging, along with Cliff, and others TBA.

Wednesday’s Workout Reminder

This is your reminder that we will be meeting near Wisconsin Lutheran High School on Wednesday. Park at Pick N Save, 8151 W Bluemound Rd (near corner of Bluemound and Glenview/84th). We will then walk around the back side of the store to Honey Creek Parkway to workout. I will not be racing at the track meet, so we are in no rush. I will be watching the big events after the workout is over.

Second, next week is our picnic at Abendschein Park. Everyone is invited! Bring some food to share. Bring conversation and fun!

If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks.

> > Time: 2:00 PM (doors open at 1:30)
> > (Please register online at mpl.org or call 414-286-3011 beginning June 1st) > >
> > This 60-minute program will document in pictures the amazing story of a vast and sophisticated electric railway system which once existed in Southeast Wisconsin for over a half-century, with knowledgeable and interesting narration provided by Mr. Sakar, who has spent nearly 50 years researching this largely unknown segment of Milwaukee transit history. This program will exhibit a long forgotten, romantic period of time when rail, not auto, was king. Hope to see you there!
